The last days of the Apostles’ fast proved to us that the Acts of the ‘apostles’ is not yet over. We witnessed awe-inspiring events mirroring those of the book of Acts during our month long mission trip. Our missionaries returned home each night with tales of the wondrous works of the Holy Spirit in opening doors for the Gospel.

 

Each day our 270 missionaries swept the local area with the message of Christ’s love and a new life in Him. Our missionaries were ordinary people from across the world - some studying at school, others working...most were apprehensive about serving in the Mission. Though these earthen vessels (us) were so weak, the excellence of God’s power really  took over at every opportunity in indescribable ways. Many had never given a talk before but found God giving precisely the words to be spoken at the time.

 

It is really convicting to witness how God steps in and covers His children who offer themselves as ambassadors of His love. Contrary to opinion, this is not limited to Africa alone. God is eager to sweep the West too with His refining fire, if only we are willing to trust ourselves to His leading. We should be compelled, by Christ’s love, to step out of our comfort zones in our home countries for the sake of the Gospel!!!
